Is there a way to retrieve an unsaved file on the mpvi data logger? Last night at track, motor threw a rod coming off line. Track personnel turn power off to car before I could think about saving log. Would like to have that log to go over the data.

if you were logging via laptop its saved in your scanner-logs folder assuming you are using the newest 4.x software.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

I was using it as stand alone. Computer wasn’t in car. I am using the MPVI Pro stand alone data logger

you could try to pull the data, not sure if it saves on its own to be honest, been a while since I've used an MPVI1.

When I try to read logs it doesn’t show any logs. I didn’t know if there was another way into the stand alone to possibly pull it out. Like you can with the Vcm scanner if you don’t save.
sounds like none are saved in that case.

So there is no way to retrieve an unsaved file from the stand alone? I was hoping that it was like the vcm scanner and saved the log some where that was accessible another way. That would be useful in cases like this where power was shut off before stopping recording. Thanks for the quick reply Bill. I appreciate all that you guys do and the time you take to answer questions. It would be nice to maybe have a feature like this in the mpvi 2 pro where it will save the last log if connection is lost if that is even possible. Or a way to view last started log event on stand alone. I was thinking surely since the recording was started on the stand alone data logger that there would be at least a partial log that could be retrieved and viewed since it was recording even though it wasn’t saved.
Correct, if its not there its simply not there.
