2000 Chevy Tahoe tune

I have a buddy that has a 2000 Chevy Tahoe 5.7... can you tune those with hp tuners? And if so, anyone have a tune for a stock 5.7 with 4l60e?

That truck should be supported. Then look in the tune repository on there as well to find stock files.

Tahoe and express of that year shared the same engine, trans and pcm combos. Being a classic 2000 model I bet it's sporting a black box. I know for fact hp tuners supports 98 and up pcm for black box. Check the tune repository with any 5.7 Vin R stock file. anything from 98-02 for express van and truck. Is the truck not running the stock tune file. Hypertech programmer or something of the like?

I highly suggest pcm swap to the 0411.

I was in the wrecking yard last weekend and pulled parts off a 2000 Tahoe Limited for my 8.1 swapped 1999 Tahoe. Scooped up the rear sway bar setup, the 1-ton front sway bar, the 120 mph clear needle cluster, the Volant CAI (for a different truck with a Vortec 350) that was on it and a few other parts. Definately still had the Black Box under the hood.

01-02 Express vans were not black box, they were 0411, so a factory 01+ tune will do nothing for him.

I also grabbed the Tow/Haul button equipped shifter out of a 2000 Astro van with a 4.3 and Black Box. Gave me an idea of where to look for the Tow/Haul input of a black box one day when I can finding the wiring diagram for a 2000 Astro.
