Thread: 2011 GMC Acadia (No MAP sensor?)

2011 GMC Acadia (No MAP sensor?)

VCM Scanner / poll supported parameters / Will identify a MAP sensor, but no data is ever gathered from this sensor (all other sensors report data)

Histograms will only render data in the first row because of this.

Any amount of load (accelerating, or going up a hill) and the KR is in the 4-10 degree range.

At first, I thought this was due to a bad MAP sensor, but now I'm thinking this engine simply does not have a MAP. (It does have a Barometer)

How do you tune VE without using the MAP for load calculations?

It has a map sensor... are you using a specific pid or a sensor pid?

I didn't believe it at first, but yeah - no MAP. I had to sub out the MAP row's with the Engine Load % parameter and all is well.

The older Acadia's had a MAP sensor located near the TB.

Not sure on the new ones. This is actually the first car I've scanned that hasn't had a MAP.

its a load based ecu never intended to see boost so it doesn't technically need one.
calculates load by etc position, rpm, maf airmass, and ect. functions similarly to a lnf/ldk e69 ecu just minus the map of course.
