5th gen new 408 no start

Have a 5th gen that now has been converted over to "max" 408 build from what customer says. He says it has a huge cam in it as well. Car wont start it will crank. He started it once when he first got it and it ran for like 5 minutes and that was it. Has reduced engine message. I tried the throttle clean button in scanner but it ran for like 30 seconds. now just turns over. Also had a U0100 code. He says he went through whole harness and grounds and they are good.

No plugs cant physical cause an ecu communication failure check your power wires to ecu and there are 2 communication wires connecting all systems obd + and _ in and out its wiring or failed fuse check fuses first don't chase your behind. It ran before its something stupid. Just check fuses then go through power and ground wires to ecu and don't forget relays as well see if you can send power directly to ecu through fuse box using a power probe and get it to start

No one is saying the plugs would cause the U0100 code....What was being said is the continous cranking can foul plugs causing the current no start. This could be cause by the allowance of fuel but no spark due to REP. The U0100 was (Permanent) so it will take quite a few key cranks to clear even after issue is fixed which was battery. Now need to figure out the reduced power issue. New throttle body was put on and throttle clean switch was used in scanner with no help. Like you said has to be something dumb he's not seeing.

What's with the 0rpm reading in the log? I'm not sure what size injectors and fuel pressure this thing is running....but assuming decent sized injectors and regular fuel pressure, doesn't 10ms pulse width seem a little large? These other guys may be right about the fouled plugs.
