Actual Throttle Position vs. Throttle Pedal Position

Forgive me for going back to newbie questions here

I haven't messed with tuning much over the last 7 years or so, at least none of the new stuff, not to mention the last big release I was using was 2.24. Trying to go back through my old stuff and searching without a lot of luck (lots of random hits).

Anyway, I have a 2018 Sierra with the 5.3 and A8. I pulled the tune and took some logs to start familiarizing myself with the new stuff. I noticed the "Throttle Position SAE" was 83.9% for the "Accelerator Pedal Average" at 83.6%. When I hit the kick down button the pedal went to 100%, but the throttle position stayed at 83.9%.

I tried to put in different PIDs to see what is going on/if I had the right PIDs. I did not see anything else that gave me 100% throttle position so I was curious what I am missing her. I always remembered with the Corvettes and trucks in the past was about getting the right PID. I was going to go back and try the non-SAE PIDs as I may have skipped over one trying them all out.

While I am at it, can't seem to narrow down searches with good into on virtual torque which is new to me. Any links to share there would be great too

This thread from 2005 should help.

Most GEN 4 and GEN 5 vehicles is either 84% or 88% depending on computer. It seems everything after like 2006-2007 with the E38/E78/E92 etc used 84%.

2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Thanks, wasn't sure how much they were alike. I remember the 88% from ETC cars I did back in the day, just not seeing the same PIDs/numbers and it was throwing me off.

What are the parameters for actual throttle blade position and pedal position?
