    99 suburban 5.7 vortec 4l80??

I recently installed a 4l80 in a 99 suburban with a 5.7 vortec. I did a bunch of research on here trying to find info on segment swaps, only to find out it?s not supported by this Pcm. I contacted support to see if they could help with a compareable file, and was told this Pcm wouldn?t run a 4l80??? There are plenty of vortec powered 3/4 ton truck from the mid 90?s with 4l80?s and this Pcm. Does anyone know a work around? I know I can?t segment swap, but shouldn?t I be able to use another trucks file and just change the vin? I?m not concerned about the credits....I just want to make this work without going to a stand-alone controller and all the problems that presents.

411 pcm swap, then use an express van file. I use one from an 02 express 3500 with 5.7/4l80e no segment swap needed.

I have done segment swaps on Black Boxs with Tunercats. Even did a 4.3/4L80E in a 2000 1500. HP Tuners just does not support the Black Box well.

My 1999 Tahoe was a 305/4L80E combo running on a Black Box before I swapped the 8.1 into it.

Any chance you have the files needed to get the segment swap from? Just for clarification, I still do the pin swap the trans and pcm...then just segment swap using tunercats? I used tunercats a very long time ago on a 94 Z28.....but man its been awhile. Ill look into their software today. Any help you could give would be awesome. Switching pcms just because these aren't supported by HPT is ridiculous. I guess I never thought to look at other software options. Thank you so much! You just saved me a crapload of time.
