    le5 rev limiter

Whats the best way to accomplish a LS1 style rev limiter on a 2.4 le5 with an e37 pcm? I've played with some of the tables to soften the rev so it doesn't fall on its face as hard before recovering, but it's still not very fast and loses power. Looking at a stock 02 ls1 tune, it appears it runs off fuel cut only with only 1rpm difference between cutoff and resume, no cmd torque tables or similar. If i'm understanding the e37 rev limit options right, could I just set the In-gear limiter higher and just use the extreme cutoff/resume the same way and bypass the torque tables or does it use the cmd torque tables in both "in-gear" and "extreme cutoff" limits?

Keep in mind you only have half the cylinders so the cut will be twice as hard

So basically I'd end up with a honda type rev limiter? I might try it at a lower rpm and see how it reacts. I was curious if anyone has tried running off of the extreme cutoff only before.
