    Support for W205 C63/S AMG M177 engine?

    Hello,
There has been growing discussions on various forums about having cracked the "code" on the new 2015+ W205 C63/S cars to allow OBD2 port tuning. With this, are there any plans to support this platform with HPtuners in the near future?

    Thx

Not sure if it means anything, but when you try and ID a car that is not supported by VCM, The drop down list becomes available, in this list you can see MED17.7.5 in the supported ECUs listed by them. Since it wasnt listed on their supported applications list, I have not tried to ID any of this cars, but I think it might work, if not should be available pretty soon I would assume.

I hope this gets more traction. There is so many M177/M178 Engines out there from the Merc GT to the C63, GLE63,E63,GLC63 ect... It would open up a huge market for HPTuners. Can someone from HP turners confirm it is in the works?

wussup hp tuner gang? software engineer muffinflavored at it again

i don't know if HPTuners is doing data logging via:

    1. XCP
    2. ReadMemoryByAddress (would make offsets application software number specific, ouch. same for XCP)
    3. OBD service 01 (TCU gear is missing, boost target is missing, torque target is missing, knock is missing, ignition retard is missing, low / high fuel pressure is missing, torque is in percentage and not newton meters, wastegate duty cycle is missing, timing is only cylinder 1, not all 8
    4. ReadDataByIdentifier

which, i share with this community:

    M177/M178 VGSNAG3 CPC_NG UDS 22 ReadDataByIdentifier logging IDs

I am still working on a comprehensive list, this is untested and I am missing the scaling factors/formulas to make the hex data human readable.

I REALLY HOPE HPTUNERS supports the M177/178 platform.

I did reach out to them on this topic and their response was along the lines of, "We currently have no plans to further expand on Mercedes". That could either mean, they have enough work as it is, or they don't see any future continuing to release software for Mercedes. I hope someone from HPTuners can chime in as the M177/M178 platform is the future of Mercedes.

    Good day fellas.
Just downloaded the latest beta of the suite, and plugged into my 2019 c63s

I am able to connect to the vehicle in VCM scanner (but don't have or know what channels to log or how to add them.) And it recognizes my VIN.

However, when I open VCM editor and click read vehicle, the error about interface not supported/found pops up.

    1. At this point, is this engine fully readable and tuneable with HP tuners?

    2. Does anyone here have a proper channel list/configuration that they would be willing to share so that I may at log the car?

    Regards

Are you connected to the internet when you try to read your vehicle? MPVI2 needs an internet connection to get the calibration from the HP Tuners server.

I was not connected to the internet when I tried to read the car. However, I have the MPVI 1 pro.
Three hp tuners website does NOT have the (2) next to the c63s/m177, so the MPVI2 shouldn't be required.

That said, I gather that you have indeed been able to read your vehicle ecu?

Have you also been able to write to it?

    Thanks for the help.

I’m pretty sure you’re going to need to upgrade to the MPVI2 as that is how VCM Editor is able to read/write all the newer ecu’s. My C63 is a w204 M156 so I was able to read and write with the MPVI1 but I upgraded to MPVI2. Both models were pro versions. On my daily veedub gti, MPVI2 is required plus internet connection to read/write the ecu.

Any news, if the 2015-2018 C63 is now completely supported?
