downloaded the file but it wont open

I bought a brand new hp laptop with windows 10 installed and activated as far as I can tell. I got the new mpvi2 yesterday. I downloaded the the file off the website but my computer will not allow it to open. Every time I click to open it says

This installation package could not be opened. contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package.

Anyone else have this issue or know what I might be doing wrong. thanks in advance

looks like a windows issue, alot of information about this error message on google https://www.google.com/search?q=This...nt=firefox-b-1
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
