    Power enrichment

Hello, looking for some help, new to tuning. Trying to set up a 2014 chevrolet with the 5.3 auto. Has a CAI and short headers into a y pipe no cats.
got the MAF set up trims and AFR is good. the problem i am having is the Power enrichment. I set the tables to all one value (i no not correct) to try and richen up the mixture. will not richen up.

    what am i missing?

    thanks for any help.

Hey Thanks again Ben Charles, is it as simple as TORQUE MODEL-GENERAL-EQ RATIO BASED-EQ RATIO, and adjust those table in there?

    cheers

That?s one small part of the puzzle... don?t max all Tq management settings... the Tq model needs to reflect the power the engine makes

You can try lowering the torque % needed to enable PE to like 50%. But as Ben mentioned, if your Torque Model is off you're going to have problems going into PE.

Just curious, when these tables use torque% what torque is being referenced? Transmission torque management uses the same thing.

I believe it is the Virtual Torque values against calculated airmass. So if you raise your VT tables real high but your Airmass/VVE isn't calculating a high enough value, you will have too high of an offset to enter PE based on a percentage of calculated torque to virtual torque. You can test this by lowering the % needed to enter PE. But also, you can see if you are entering PE or not by logging that PID. If you are entering PE but your AFR isn't changing then you have a different issue. But if you are not entering PE then you need to lower the % value to enter PE or fix your Torque Model.

That is not a one post reply. You will need to read many threads here on the forum including the Gen 4 forums and get a grasp on it.
