Diesel?
Yessir
Guessing no one here has done much with the 68RFE
Shift and tcc lock/unlock points are a matter of taste really.
Tuned a couple of '08s (engines with "other" tuner, trans with HPT).
In general:
- lower shift points and tcc lock in low tps regions. 6.7 has ample torque down low and more than enough means to control EGT down there.
Stock values seem to safeguard guys who don't know what tow/haul is for. Problem is, comparing to Dmax Cumminses seem to have a particularly bad RPM / MPG relationship.
- bumping a bit 60%+ tps shift points helps with accelerating the beast and natural means of EGT control. Not a fan of excessive boost, it always hurts mpg and strains factory head bolts.
- downshifts are a matter of taste, thin line between irresponsive and overly busy trans.
- tcc lock is there to save fuel. i adjust it accordingly.
- factory tow haul is ok for towing.

Thanks Vlad. Boost certainly is an economy killer. May be just me but seems like stock shift points down low with low tps seems a little too early at times and just causes unnecessary extra work to maintain low speed, in town light throttle driving.
