It's awesome progress for VCM scanner is coming a long, but has there been any progress on VCM editor? I know these things are waayyy outdated and there probably isn't too much demand for it. If there are no plans for support, or it isn't looking good, please let the few of us know so we can make other arrangements so we can tune these. Thanks for the good work guys!

Yes, currently mustangs are tuneable back to 99, not sure on others, but eecv support is available, does require mpvi2 though, or nguage

Yea, I saw the support for most of the 2 valve Mustangs listed. I have an MPVI2 that I bought mostly for the scanner capability, but have done some tuning (still learning over here). The trouble is there is an outrageous amount of truck EEC-V vehicles in my area. I personally own two. I have several people waiting to have very minor tuning done to theirs, myself included. One would assume that since the Mustang PCM's have been figured out, the trucks shouldn't be that much different, but I can't say that for sure. I really hope they start support soon.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for sending this information in. I've consulted our engineers and they are aware of this issue and are currently working on resolving this. This issue only affects the EEC-V controller which happens to be the controller in your Mustang. I don't have an ETA currently as to when we will have this resolved but it is currently being worked on.

So I've read on another post hpt seems to think it's an electrical issue. I dont think it is, I wanted to investigate just incase if there was a generic issue either from a circuit board causing interference on the scp bus or another issue causing noise on the bus lines and shy of using very expensive equipment I decided to disconnect everything. So far I've removed every fuse in the car that doesnt run the pcm or cluster and the only modules still connected is the pcm(obviously), cluster, ccrm and fuel pump module. All the grounds have been check and tested for resistance. I'll have to disable pats to disconnect cluster but that's my next approach. With all that done it's still glitching, I dont know how much further I'll investigate until I give up

Fix is in the newest MVPI2 firmware update 3.0.35 which can be found in the newest beta build.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

I tried it last week (inadvertently before it was announced) and it worked for me! Granted, I only tried a few minute-long log as I was just setting up coolant temp fan settings, but no crashes. Crossing fingers...

If this works for others who have had problems, THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

I have uploaded the newest beta. I tried to get my firmware updated but it still shows mine to be the 3.0.30 version. I tried resyncing my mpvi2, gathering info which shows I still have the older version. Not sure where else I can tried to get this to do a firmware update. I am trying to log a 03 cobra and the scanner has been giving me problems.

I'm new to HP tuners, have a brand new MPVI2 w/pro(just got it this week). I'm turning an 03 mustang. I have tried both the new release 4.8 and the Beta 4.9. Firmware was updated with the 4.8 release. Based on these comments, it sounds like the logging is better than it was before but still not great. Sometimes it will log without an issue and other times it will stop and totally drop the connection to the car. Sometimes it will log, then freeze, then log, then freeze, then log, rinse and repeat. This is with the USB cable. I tried the Bluetooth connection briefly, it didn't make a difference(probably worse). When I first started using it, it worked great, but now it is glitching more. Sometimes I need to resync the interface if it just won't connect to the car. Repolling pids after flashing an updated tune helps.

I have an elm, x3, and qh. I might try data logging with those. Even with the glitchy data logging, I'm a lot happier with HPT than the other setup I was using.
