how to tell if ecm is locked or not?

I bought a low mileage 2016 hellcat and I read it with my MVI2 but is there a way to tell if it's unlocked....or would the best bet be buy the credits for ecm and tcm and try a rewrite? I kinda dont want to do that I dont have much luck if it wasnt for bad luck I wouldnt have any. Thanks I did make a ticket out for answer's but havent heard back yet

If it was unlocked by HP. there would be a security seal on it that says HP Tuners

I have same situation with my 2018 Scatpack. Is this seal visible from the outside or do I need to take the ECU out?

On the scat you would have to pull the PCM out. it is located under the cowel on the passenger side firewall. there would be a silver hologram tag on the Edge of the PCM if it was unlocked by HP.
