What timing on pump 98 and 20psi? BF XR6T

    Evening everyone,

Just curious as to what timing could theoretically be achieved running on pump 98 on 20psi? Just trying to work out if I'm asking too much of my setup?

Will attach a log file, my timing seems a little jagged...

Yep whs but you may be able to get away with a few more degrees due to your lower than std static comp ratio.
    Are you logging knock retard?

    I'm logging knock correction?

Yeah 98 is all we have here, i have since changed intake manifolds to a Proflow one which has helped intake temps and throttle response. But 6-7 degrees is all i can get away with really, did get E85 and put in a month ago... i miss it dearly

I run 7 degree peak torque on 98 but thats at 15psi with a high comp engine. 20 psi wouldnt even work on 98 for me lol would be 3 degrees no power and melting pistons :P

What timing difference are people getting from 98 to E85 on the same boost levels?

16-17 degrees total spark on 20PSI boost on E85, FG G6ET with GTX3582R. Made 511rwkw on mainline hub dyno.

Nope. Stock 2014 G6E Turbo. Did replace valve springs to handle the boost. Had other supporting mods such as GTX3582R, PW Stage 2 FMIC, 4" dump, 5" cat, twin 2.5" system, dual Pierburg 360l pumps & surge tank, 1000cc injectors. Did around 30,000kms with this setup, transmission was stock albeit tuned, but starting to slip the 3-4 shift. Returned the car back to stock and sold it.

Most of the parts from the G6ET I'm having put in a 2013 TS SZ petrol Territory. I've had a FG engine built with upgraded internals for this vehicle.

Nice. Did you tune your own transmission? Just starting to look into the trans side of things now actually

I can't claim I did, I did have someone tune it for me but I was able to take it from there and work out what was going on.

I've run pretty well that timing at 30PSI E85 built engine GTX4202 no issues.

BF engine on 98 seem to be the most sensitive of all and take the least timing at beak torque.
