Narrowband o2 sensors & VE tables
Hi, i have a problem with my wideband, and waiting for the new one to arrive, i am now trying to dial in my VE tables with stock o2 sensors, and i have a question.
If i forced VE to keep running all the time and turned off WOT mode and lowered the timing for more safety, Can i use the stock narrowband o2 sensors to dial in VE table all the way up to 6500 RPM, will it work ? Is it going to be as accurate as a wideband ?
Or is it just a bad idea ?
It?s a 2006 charger srt8 426 stroker.

Bad idea ! the narrow band may only indicate that it is above or below λ = 1, but will not give any value.
And as they are narrow bands, they only cover the range 0.95> λ> 1.05 (ie 13.97> AFR> 15.14), and at full throttle we must be at AFR 12.5 (λ 0.85) N / A or AFR 11.5 (λ 0.78) S / C.
They will therefore be unusable for what you want to do.
