    PCM and BCM compatibility

Hi I'm new to the forum, I have a 2002 monte carlo with a 3400. I have a supercharged 3800, 4t65e-hd transmission, engine harness, and pcm out of 2005 gtp comp g that I am putting in the monte. My question is would the 2005 pcm communicate with my bcm right, or it there anyway to get a 2002 pcm to run that transmission?

That type of swap can't be done. The 2004+ computer in the grand prix's are a completely different style of computer and will not plug into anything on your vehicle. The fuse block connections and wire harness to the PCM are not the same.

I would have said to run a 2004-2005 monte ss supercharged computer but that still runs the older computer style and they never had tap-shift.

Maybe someone else has done that swap but for sure you can't run a 2004+ grand prix computer in your car and have it work with your other systems.

2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

I was kinda thinking the same thing, I was just hoping someone had some ideas to make it work. The transmission came with motor and only has 80,000 miles on it.
