6L programming, how do you enable a second shift table like $l60e tow/haul mode?

    On the Camaro/Vette/CTSV for example
    Factory Stock 97 SS M6 13.51 @ 104.3 mph
    Stock Longblock LS1 w/ 233/238 P.S.I. Cam
10.81 @ 126.9 Full interior, six speed on 275 radials, a decade ago

    '99 TA trunk mounted 76mm 6 Liter
    9.0s in '09 @ 153 MPH

    Turbo 5.3 Volvo 740 Wagon
32psi and still winding out 5th on the highway somewhere

The cars with a 6L usually have a manual tap up/down mode, but it is controlled through the BCM and communicated to the ECM, then to the internal TCM. Trucks with tow/haul do the same. Do you have a BCM installed?

Sport mode, I think it's pattern A. To test, set pattern A shift speed table to 100 MPH, put the car in sport mode. If the trans won't upshift, you're using pattern A.

I chose a 2010 Chev Silverado diagram to show you how the tow haul mode and tap up/tap down is wired. Don't know if it will help. Maybe you can incorporate into your tune if the table exists and trigger and second shift chart. Like NotSure stated a BCM would be needed and be compatible with the ECM/TCM to supply the data.

Ok so the CTSV, camaro, vette, g8 all have sport shift setting Im pretty sure. We cant datalog to see what pattern its currently in? Could figure it the way your saying if need be.

If I want to START in say 3rd gear for example then shift 4th and 5th normally automatically, set 1-2 shifts all the 0 mph, then 2-3 shifts all to 0mph should work yes?

Scan for TRANS SHIFT MODE. It'll come up with things like Normal, Pattern A(cruise), Pattern B(sport) and TUTD.
NB: 4.0.12 of HPT is missing this channel, but 4.2.1 is ok.
