    Chevy Pickup 1500 - 6,5 TD help needed

    Hello is there anybody who ever tuned a Chevy Pickup 6,5 Diesel from 1996?
    It is not supported by the HPTuners Interface or other tools. I desoldered the 128 kB flash with encrypted dataset. The decryption is done but a few test with any changings doesn´t gave any results. So maybe someone here can help?

    Pretty sure we're the only ones with software for the 6.5TD...writing the ECM back through the OBD2 port would be the normal way to do it.

    By that you mean HPT can tune a 6.5TD or that you have something else that can tune it?

    Thier site doesn't really answer any questions. From what I can tell it looks like they just sell custom tuned chips.

    I guess I'm more interested in finding a way to tune a 6.5TD through the OBDII port on a 97 or newer truck

    Look under the price list;

    Seems like an 'ouch', until you realize there are no license limitations...once you have the package, you could tune a million trucks.
    It's more suited to tuning shops that specialize in the 6.5 td.
