    L83 Cam Swap Help!!!

I recently did a BTR Stage 2 cam swap with a 4 degree cam phaser limiter due to the wonderful AFM issues. Does anyone have a good base tune that I could work off? Would really appreciate some help!

@shifty909 Did you receive a PM or response on this?
I just finished the same swap (L83, Stage 2 BTR) and put on some Speed Engineering long tube headers as well.

The truck will start and idle but for sure needs a tune and hoping you had luck.

    Thanks

Bring it to a dyno. Ive had a couple "reputable" tooners vulcher my ass. Even if you use a mail order, still bring it to a dyno with the "tooner" on the other end ready for corrections.

There's a lot on gen V's that have to be dialed in for temperature changes so all of the fueling tables stay right especially when you change airflow through the motor. That's not going to happen on a dyno or at any dyno tuning shop as far as that goes that I've ever seen. In fact a lot of remote tuners don't know or won't touch it. I normally spend the first 10 to 20 revisions just getting VE, MAF, initial torque modeling and the VE multiplier right before moving on to dialing the density table in to keep the MAF scaling right and then on to the rest from there FWIW. Again, not going to happen at a dyno shop. A dyno should be used for final spark and fuel selection and that's only if it's a load bearing dyno that's able to simulate the vehicle going down the road.
