    Please explain correction tables

Is there anyone out there or some god links to understanding the timing and fueling correction and multipliers? I feel like I just cant grasp the concept of how to adjust these for optimal performance.

    Thanks.

There isn?t anything written out there on them. They aren?t always in use either, conditions need to be met for the ecm to decide to use them. I haven?t played with all multipliers myself, usually don?t worry about them too much unless one is interfering with what I want but I?ve found that just because they use the word multiplier, doesn?t mean it?s a straight multiplication, it?s scale factor based off of some number that gets applied to the value from its corresponding table. Let?s look at the pilot timing ECT correction factor and correction table. Constantly the ECM is checking what it should be doing, for pilot timing it will determine which air density table it should be using and using the rpm and main quantity being injected to find where in the air density table to pull the desired timing from, it will do the same for the ECT correction table and use the ECT and IMT to determine what correction factor to apply, the ECM will then use the one that has the least amount of timing. Not all correction tables work this way though.

There used to be at smarty resource forum but that forum died. There is a guy at smartysupport.com that goes by cummins1984, find him and he can tell you all about the correction tables. He wrote the article that's gone now.
