Configurable Default Folders: Possible addition in future updates?

I use VCM Suite across multiple devices and the ability to store configuration files (Gauges, Layouts, Maths, ect) on a network drive or cloud drive would be incredibly useful.
Is this something that be offered in future releases or is there a procedure to do this in the system files?

    Thanks!

not sure if what your asking is as complicated as your making it. The configuration, and layout files are stored within folders on the hard drive. You can simply save them to a network folder, and there they are for all devices.

Granted, I usually over complicate things.
But, this is more than just copying the settings files. I want the same settings data (charts, layouts, gauges, etc) to be used by all devices. So, when I modify a layout on one device, it'll use the same modified layout on the next device I use.
Your suggestion is what I'm doing now, however there's an extra step of copying data from the default folder to the network folder on device #1, and then copying from the network folder to the default folder on device #2.

I was hoping there was a spot in the system files of registry that would allow this default to be changed to eliminate these extra steps.

You should try the "mklink" that is built into windows. I've used it for years using dropbox and other cloud based backup drives to sync all my devices. Just search for "mklink" on google. You seem technically inclined enough to use the command prompt.

The mklink(or symlink) is a windows feature that creates a symbolic link between two folders (your network folder and a symbolically linked folder that you create using the mklink command in the command prompt.) It is not the same as "create shortcut"

While waiting for VCM suite to update I went ahead and found a good howto article for you.
