6L80 T43 OS Reflash Question
Hi all. I have a 2007 6L80, but want the internal T43 controller reflashed to 2009 operating system. I plan to use it in my 2009 Colorado, and most say need to match PCM and TCM years to insure best communication. I think 07-09 jump can happen, as they are both before the 2010 change.
I thought I saw somewhere that the GM TIS2WEB system can’t do bench flashing anymore? I can patch in the PCM as well on the bus on the bench, but not sure it will work? Colorado never came with the 6L80, and I don?t have it installed yet. Still 4L60e with external T42.
Maybe easier to just buy a used 2009 internal T43? Or send it out to a shop that offers to do this?
Thought appreciated thanks.

Why not use the 2009 TEHCM in the 2007 Trans ?

I don’t have a 2009 TEHCM. I only have the 2007 it came with. Difficult to find a place that will just sell a used 2009 TEHCM, without the rest of the trans.
Even if I bought a new TEHCM, it is not installed in the vehicle, so I don’t think it could be flashed with GM software (can the be bench flashed with GM TIS2WEB, that is the question). I do have a flash harness and E67 I can put on the bus. I just don’t want to pay for the GM flash subscription, if it can’t be bench flashed.
Anybody know? Can a 2007 T43 be flashe d up to a 2009? If so, can it be done on the bench, or does any service place offer this?
Thanks.
