could be a few issues. these transmissions actually had issues with hard downshifts from the factory, that "learn" themselves softer during coasting downshifts. Another issue is the tuner may have shift pressures, too high, or shift timing too low. If your not familiar with the tuning of these trans, it can be quite complicated to get the right feel. HAve you discussed this with the tuner?

Also disabling torque mngt will do this. It's best not to disable TM on a 6L80e.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Both of those tunes have almost no changes to them. The first one has a 100% stock transmission calibration. I compared it to my 2012 stock file and nothing is different. Nothing that would make it shift hard or worse than it is right now.

The tune has some power enrichment changes, they removed timing for some reason. Like the factory tune has more timing under load than this one does and those themselves aren't even that crazy if you are running mid grade or premium fuels. Also they disabled some torque mngt on the engine side.

The 2014 file should have some of the torque mngt settings put back to stock-ish. I wouldn't max out the peak torque setting.

Almost makes me feel bad that you payed for this is, if you did. You surely did not get your moneys worth.

The shifts would probably soften up a bit if the minimum spark tables were set back to stock on both trucks.
