    T42 question

    Greetings.

I have obtained the following for my future LS swap...

    6.2 L99
    E38 ECM

    I currently have a 2001 4L60E.

Can I run this 4L60E with a T42 TCM? Will I need to "marry" the ECM and TCM to each other?

    Thanks in advance...

I would find a vehicle that matches closely the hardware you're planning on running. Then have that OS flashed into your modules (if they are compatible with the OS's). Google ECM part number and OS compatibility for that.

2007 (new body style) 4.8L 4L60 2wd would be a close match. Not sure if the 01 4L60 will work though (thought they had a change around 2003 or 2004). Also you'd have to delete the VCT stuff off the L99. But it could be done.

Oh well. The L99 was in pieces when it got to my house and the E38 turned out to be a E67. I will find a T42 and a newer 4L60E...
