    High Stall Tuning Question

    Using the Bluecat software to tune my 6l80e with a 3200-3600 triple disc converter in a turbo 5.3 heads/cam Sierra. Everything seems pretty good so far at part throttle. I'm just making some fine adjustments. My question is, when cruising at highway speeds with the converter locked in 6th, when I need to give it around 37-45 percent throttle to pass someone should I just have the converter un-lock while in 6th or would it be better to just have it downshift into 5th with converter still locked?BlueCat Trans 2 27 2019.hpt

    thats entirely up to you

    if its got enough grunt to get it moving satisfactorily I would leave it in 6th locked and just request more tq in that area
