2006 GTO Ambient air temp sensor

Anybody know where the Ambient air temp sensor is located?
Not the IAT (Part of the MAF).
It suddenly started reading 32 degrees constantly last night on VCM scanner.
never changing. IAT is normal etc.
RockAuto shows a weird connector for "Ambient Air Temp Sensor Connector", but not the sensor itself...

Don't quote me here but I swear on some computers it never reads right. I've logged them before and they'll read like 0 or -40 even though the vehicle has one equipped.

If it's anything like my previous pontiac cars, they install them between the front bumper and radiator somewhere with a body clip style clip.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

However, it doesn't exist anywhere in eSI. Searching 'AMBIENT' and 'AIR TEMP' none of the hits are relevant. Not even in the master components list.

Do you have the GH4 RPO?

that was the same info I saw on RockAuto as well.

Frustrating as I have scoured thru my AllData for 04-06 GTO's, and see it mentioned, but nothing in the diagrams anywhere.
I know it has to exist, as the readings were normal before Sunday, then sunday late afternoon, they showed 32, and have been there since. IAT's are still reading fine, and temps haven't been that low here in a few days.
I know it has no affect on the calibration, but I find it useful to compare IAT's to etc, and it's easy to log since it's provided to the scanner by the ECM.
I wonder if the sensor is wired to the BCM or PIM and the bus queries it that way?
AllData doesn't show any wiring for the PIM that I can find

What is the GH4 RPO you refer to. all the lists of RPO codes I can find show that as a 2.28 rear axle
*edit* AllData shows GH4 as "Additional Equipment, USA" so yes, I have GH4

Rockauto does list the sensor. Under "Heat & A/C".
    https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...re+sensor,7000

Service manual shows the sensor in the Grand Prix section - both wires are direct to the instrument cluster. Still doesn't exist in the GTO section. Is there a physical sensor on the car? Somewhere not far from the hood latch area?

Found it for Grand Prix and G6, just to prove that I don't suck at eSI-stuff-finding.

I need to dig around and see if I can find it there.
Didn't see anything obvious, but may need to pull the OTR CAI off to get more room to see.

I remember reading somewhere that there is no ambient air temperature sensor. The car reads what the ait is at cold startup and uses that as "ambient". I've taken apart a couple GTO's and have never seen an actual sensor like there is on escalades for example.

I had the front clip off for other things, and couldn't find anything either.
It is now showing proper temps again, but makes no sense that IAT was correct, but the ECM was always showing Ambient as 32Deg F no matter what.
