    545rfe tcc info

hi guys, im currently working on a dodge ram 2008 with the 5 speed transmision, the thing is that i noticed that there is no converter clutch lock up in anything else than 5 gear. ive even set release and apply speed to crazy low number for testing and cant get this damn thing to lock up in 4 or 3 .

i think im getting the aply/release and trheshold tab wrong, could anyone explain me how they work exactly.

    ram mod test lock.hpt1111.hpl

    thanks

Do you know the rpm is driveshaft rpm, not engine rpm?

    yup same as shift point...

the thing is i can play around shift point and everything work out... but tcc lockup is insane, it looks like most of the paramether arent mapped correctly.

i mean my output shaft rpm is about 1800 rpm at 80kmh. 4 gear engaged and "aply speed" set to 1500- or even 1000 and it is never locking up tcc.

then if i go around and instead of having a 1400 rpm RELEASE speed (wich is about right for a 1500 engage) and put something like 800 in here, as soon as the 4rth gear engage tcc clutch engage. and no mather what i try in APPLY speed ( tried 800 1200 1400 1600 1800 2000) even 2200 rpm wich i never reach. it still lock AND stay locked unless it down shift to 3rd speed.

as for 3rd speed the same trick doesnt work, i can input lock rpm of 100 and release of 50 and it will never engage lock up... same for second speed...

And trust me... i tried normal number before trying dumb low number...

so honestly... either im really missing something here or something is mapped wrong.

Here is an example of what im talking about, 3 log file, all have tcc RELEASE set at 1000 rpm ( if i input regular value it wont lock up at all)

one has 1400 APPLY, 1600 and 1800.... the two first one should be locking as soon as the 4 speed engage, and they do... but the 1800 rpm still get locked at the same exact speed than the 2 other ( about 1700 rpm)

and i also tried a 2000 rpm apply speed, even there it still lock at 1700 output shaft rpm.

it seem that the only working value is the tcc release speed, and even then it doesnt match anything. AND still no lockup avaiable in 3rd or second speed no mather how much crazy low number i try.

Also lets say i input normal value in tcc release like lets say 1500 rpm, and an aply speed of 1800 rpm.
i can hit 2100 rpm and still not getting any lockup. even releasing pedal and crusing at about 10 % throttle it just stay in unlocked 4rth.

i dont know where else to look, i hope some programmer join and double check everything....
