    2002 gmc 1500hd 6.0 stage 4 cam tuning help

I have a 2002 gmc 1500hd with a 6.0 with btr stage 4 truck cam. I am having problems getting tune dialed in when the truck is idling it floods itself on fuel after idling for a little bit. When driving truck for a while and come to a stop at red-light it dies sometimes. I am new to hp tuners and any advice would be apricated thanks.

brents stock tune 9.hptbrent idle log.hpl

What other mods besides the cam?
Headers, cold air intake, cats or no cats, stock or stall converter, injectors, fuel system, etc?
What fuel are you going to run most?
    Do you have a wideband?
You need to log way more so we can get a picture of what is what. Try this channel list. Make sure to connect and re-poll before scanning.

Also do you have the stock file to compare to?
    edit: add question

That is the same tune posted above. Both of those files need some serious love.
If the questions i asked above get answered we can better help you.
Just saying and is my opinion only
Is there really 37's on this truck running a 3.73?
I would get the piggy bank out and put at least a 4.88 in there. Again only my opinion

Truck has cold air intake with no cats stock converter with stock injectors and fuel system. Running 87 or 89 octane the most. The only other file I have is before I started tuning after the cam swap. my 4.88 gears are on its way here.

You should check with BTR because I am sure you need a converter to play nice with that cam.
Also, do your engine a solid and run premium fuel. E10 is cheap and everywhere.
    Do you have a wideband?
Looking at your files there is a lot going on that is no good.

Give this a try and get a log using the channels I provided. Start truck and let idle for a few minutes, then go for a drive NO WOT AT ALL!!

Also, you will run out of injector. I would start looking at FIC for a set of 40-50lb injectors. DO NOT cheap out, trust me on this.

Give those guys a call and tell them what you got and they will get you hooked up with great injectors and proper data to back then up

    Ok,
Do you have the part number on the cam? Just want to look at specific specs.

You need a converter for that cam the duration is too high for a stock converter. Idle tune as well, search for the idle tuning guide by rinkrat. Then tackle the ve table after you decide on injectors. Gtp injectors work well and are inexpensive.

That's a bummer as is says right in the description you need a 3000-3200k converter. In for a challenge with this setup and the heavy truck pushing 37's is not going to make things any easier.

Buckle up it is gonna get bumpy

    My opinion only

you need a log using the channels list I gave you in post 2. Save that into the documents-hp tuners-vcm scanner-channels and re-log
It would also help if you gave some feedback on how things felt, what was weird or didnt feel right or dang man you nailed it. Something anything would help.

I will try with those channels and send a new one to you but overall seemed really good. I drove it today and it still randomly died at stop sign. but other than that I think you did a good job
