    Anyone have a working E38/6L80/90 T43 bench harness?

    I have a working E38/T42 harness I'm trying to add the T43 connector to it and am having trouble getting it to communicate with a T43 that is out of the transmission. There are two CAN+ and CAN- wires and one each CAN+ (120 ohm) and CAN- (120 ohm) wires. I have both CAN+ tied together and both CAN- tied together spliced into the harness and both CAN + and - (120 ohm) wires not connected to anything. Not sure what to do with all the T43 CAN wires. T42 only had one each CAN+ and CAN-.

    The year shouldn't matter on a bench harness. There are only 4 different Valve Assm/TCMs. One for 07, one for 08-09, one for 10-11, and one for 12-18. They all use the same plug.

    not sure what you are doing or where you purchased the T42 bench harness but they are wired the same way a T42 and a T43..

    they both have 2 pairs of can wires... 1 set is can in and one set is can out...

    there is no need to run a 120 ohm resistor... the ECU works as a terminating resistor which is enough

    they are wired like this OBD2 plug ---> T43/T42 in ca

    as for 4 6L80/90 T43's... only ever found 2........ 07-->09 and 10 --> onwards

    I didn't purchase my E38/T42 bench harness.I built it myself. Used EFILive's bench harness pdf for the T42 CAN pins. It only listed the 2 needed. The pdf file doesn't have the T43 in it. Then in the pin out in post #1 which 2 pairs are CAN in? Which pairs are CAN out? The SD in post 4 shows all 4 as bidirectional. Since I started the thread I've learned more about the wiring and will get it sorted out. While there may only be 2 actual T43's, when buying them as part of the solonoid assembly there are 4 different part numbers. And per my very able dealer parts guy:

    07 - 24275871
    08-09 - 24275872
    10-11 - 24275874
    12-18 - 24275873
