    2008 4.6l 5 speed

Hi I have been trying to tune this 2008 ford 4.6 5 speed that was transplanted into a 65 ford fairlane. Runs great but will throw a p2104 tb code. go into reduced power. i followed Eric Brooks tuning guide (thank you) but i can't get it to stop going into reduced power.

car has a cold air intake, BBK throttle body, shorty headers no cats.

can someone look over this please and see what i missed?

i have not ruled out a faulty throttle body.

    10-21.hpt

    Thanks

    Malcolm

Have you checked the wiring to make sure nothing is loose or pinched? That could be the pedal wiring, throttle control wiring or the harness between the motor and ECM.

Hi Ben, thanks for the reply, i was thinking it could be a wiring issue with the car.

first thing we do is blame the tuner. lol

    i will keep looking.

    thanks

Is Wheel Torque Error is set astronomically high, should be 0 to 500.00 for HP Tuners If not. You need to calibrate the DBW

driver demand table, need to setup histograms to log etc error and driver demand, torq source, there are some histgrams floating around here that are pretty accuarte just down load them and import them to your graphs..

I assume DBW means drive by wire. Everything I am reading about driver demand is that its pedal feel rather than power and doesn't necessarily have to be messed with at all. However the torque calculation and inverse are critical. In my case Adjustment on them is obtained by logging absolute load vs engine RPM and plotting ETC angle error then correcting the engine torque and calculating inverse based on this. Does this seem correct? Generally it seems to be improving the driving experience and AFR across the board, its just slow, probably due to the way I am applying corrections.
