Little help with 2015 SRT 392 tune with Apache Max Cam and cat deletes

Stock the car was 419 to the wheel...With the cam I have gained 20hp but lost 28 torque...I have bought HP Tuners and the dodge beginners course and everything I have read says keep the NN but it has been disabled and a speed density tune done... What have yall done on the 392's with a small cam?

and post your tune, going to guess as with almost all vvt cams for the 6.4L, it will make the best power running fully advanced, hopefully that is how your vvt is setup.

sorry whats the duration at 0.050? advertised doesn't help much.

its a bit of a misnomer....when we talk about VVT settings, running the VVT system "fully advanced" means the cam is being run at install specs. So in other words, to measure per the cam card if you are degreeing the cam, VVT will need to be fully advanced.

Which again to my point, i wouldn't want that cam running any less advanced than the 4 degrees ground into it. VVT will only allow you to retard from there, which i think doin so will only make you lose power everywhere in the rpm band.

OH man i just looked at your tune, cam is being run fully retarded. 134* is considered fully advanced on the exhaust side, your tune is commanding 115* the entire way. You should be commanding 134* until about peak torque of 5280rpms, then retard it from there. Talk to your tuner, this doesn't look right. Makes sense why it made the power up top being fully retarded and explains torque loss down low. retarding the cam increases peak HP but kills low end torque

Yea so lift wise its a "small" cam but those are healthy duration numbers for a 392, don't see it really benefitting much from running retarded. But need to redyno to see.

Yes and Yes. dodge calibration only uses exhaust side for all cam movements on the v8 hemis.

As long as you have the phase limiter installed, as instructed, you can never have clearance issues no matter how off you make the tune.
