    exhaust leaks?

Does an exhaust system have to have good backpressure (like a muffler installed) to give accurate WB readings?
If there is a exh. leak about 7" downstream of the WB will that throw off the accuracy of the WB?
Does anyone think that JB Weld can patch leaks?
    thanks

Exhaust pressure can actually bias the LSU4 sensors that most widebands use. The better controllers will take out *some* of the bias.

But when you get really high exhaust pressures (like: pre-turbo pressures) the wideband will be put out of range by the pressure and especially temperature. I think there is some documentation floating on the web about it.
