wiring for 0411 ecu and viper (3 wire) vss

Have an 0411 ECU and a Viper 3 wire vss (power, ground & signal). GM VSS is only a 2 wire (High and low, sine wave). How ,if possible can this be wired so the ECU gets the proper signal? Thinking the ground on the VSS goes to the ECU VSS 'low' and the signal on the VSS goes to the ECU VSS 'high'?

Currently the VSS is wired and working normally under a 5v power via step down transformer. The signal is run through a digital to mechnaical speedo converter (Cable X). This is happy. I have swapped in an 0411 ECU engine management system and want the ECU to know the vehicle speed.

You may have to go the route many Jeep swappers do and get a Dakota Digital box. My guess is the Viper, like most Chrysler products, has a Hall effect style VSS. The signal it puts out cannot be read by the GM PCM. The DD box translates the signals.

This is correct. Its a 3 wire hall effect VSS on 5v. GM uses a sine wave pulse on 12v.

I'll look into to it. Have an EBay unit installed now thats not doing much.
