On the vehicle's supported page on hptuners website it tells you if you need an MPVI2 or not. the 16 scatpack doesn't require a 2.
You only need the smart cable on 2018 plus.
You do however need to send the pcm in for unlock prior.
You can read a locked PCM. No need to send it for un-lock prior to reading. BUT you will not be able to write it until it's unlocked.
If in doubt, multiply everything by 1.1.
Cool thanks for the heads up guys and just wondering if I get it unlocked does it include the tcm in it??
The TCM is not locked and can be programmed before the PCM is unlocked. I did it on my own 2016 Scat Pack.

I wasn't aware of this. Definitely will have to attempt trans tuning on a 15-17 some time.
