    OBD II Activation

I have a 2005 Corvette that was originally purchased in Mexico. A scan tool shows all the OBD monitors are Not Applicable and the vehicle complies with NO OBD requirements. When the file is read all the expected Pcodes indicate the SES Enable and MIL on Error. Is it possible to activate the OBDII such that a scan tool reports the vehicle is OBDII compliant and the monitors are active and indicate when they have completed? I haven't been able to find anything in the file that would affect this.

AFAIK, it's the vin that's making the scan tool report all those values. Without changing the vin in the pcm, bcm and radio, it will report non compliant everytime.

Now IF you had a scan tool that ran software for Mexico, that tool would report compliant for each test.

Without a North American VIN from a car that has all the same options, you're not going to get very far...
