cumstom OS needed for Simple Speed Density??

How can I enable a temporary / simple SD to delete the MAF on a stock LS1?

Every time I disconnect the it the car won't run.

Do I need to full flash the available custom OS for Speed Density even if it's naturally aspirated and will not see boost? I though that was mostly for the MAP upgrade.

I've tried the basic settings in the calibration that are recommended in various tutorials, setting the MAF to fail etc., no success so far.

    Thank you!!!

No need to do a custom OS just fail the MAF correctly, but your OS should have 1 bar enhanced which enables SD with alpha N

reading this thread, will give it another shot tonight.

I though about leaving the maf plugged in and tossing it to the side as a desperate last resort

No reason to unplug the MAF. Follow what Ed said in that thread and it'll work just fine. Make sure they're set to first error, not no error reported.

I'm deleting the maf it does not fit in my custom intake that's why it must be unplugged

Everything works perfect now, thanks for all the help!!!

It was worth feeling stupid to make sure it's done right. Now my entire intake from beginning to end is 92mm with no MAF parts whatsoever, and runs great all the time.

Thanks a lot again to everyone.
