    Virtual read questions

its a virtual read so you have to be connected to the internet to pull the file, you will always get a base tune file, regardless of the tune you write to the ECM so you always need to save your write file because you will not be able to see the changes when you read the file

I just upgraded from MPVI 1 pro to MPVI 2 pro and I'm not very happy with virtual read and need to always be connected to internet.

Will this be changing in the future? Is this how it will be from now on?

Is there any way to do a read entire like it used to be? I don't think this is advantageous at all.

Unfortunately not, some ecm's can't be read hence the reason it needs to be done this way.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

So I assume it's very important to save backups of everything just in case a computer/hard drive crashes, just disappointed as this makes it hard for me to look at the tune that my tuner did on my twin turbo trans am. Why can't you guys just allow it to read the ones that are possible and grab a virtual one for the rest? I'm sure the answer is it's not that simple but thanks for the info.

Ok sorry if I was mistaken, so for ECMs that can be read directly it will grab the read that is in the vehicle including modifications and for vehicles that it cannot it will grab a virtual read in stock format? Thanks Bill for clarifying
