OK, this makin' my head hurt a little. I have searched but can't really make sense of it enough to even figure out search terms to nail down relevant matches yet. I'm sure there's a 10-page 15-year-old thread around here somewhere that explains, I just haven't found it.
I'm looking at two stock tune files, 2006 Trailblazer 5.3L and 2006 Trailblazer 6.0L. The 5.3 has 10's in the Open Loop EQ tables and 0.100(ish)'s in the IVT Gain. The 6.0 has 1's and 1(ish)'s.
So even to a math-illiterate like me it's pretty obvious that (1 x 1) and (10 x 0.1) give the same end result.
But why are these stock tunes set up different like this? Are there other tables involved/affected by the use of one style versus the other?
