Bump for those that need some help. I'll try and bump next time with a new video instead. Been super busy lately, my apologies on the guys waiting for boost tuning and injector scaling. Maybe I'll work on it this weekend. We'll see.

Thank you so much for the time and effort that you put into making these videos. I have bought several tuning guides over the years and these videos tie it all together for me. Keep doing what you're doing. It is greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much for these tutorials. they do a good job of explaining WHY you are doing things not just do this or that. I personally learn that way so its been very helpful.

I'm thinking about buying HPTuners, coming from back yard stepping up to holley HP system on a small block and watching your cylinder air mass & VE video just blew my mind... Going to watch them probably another 20 times bc I have a lot to learn.
All that to say thanks for posting.

Bumping this because it's easier then replying to a lot of people asking for tuning help with swaps, VE, cams, etc. More to come, eventually. Been busy lately, doing Ford stuff, and other things, but I will make more, don't worry. I like helping folks out.

My supercharged 2001 S10 4.3 V6 ECM does not have the Air-Fuel Ratio Commanded channel. Is there another way I can calculate my Air-Fuel Error for a new Histogram?
I purchased my HPTuners Pro back in 2015 and have tuned my boost VE table manually to get it close to 11.5 A/F in boost. I'm still a NOOB. Now I built a new 4.3 motor with forged internals, mildly ported Vortec heads, and the largest COMP Cam makes for this computer controlled engine. After I did some initial idle tuning per HPTuners, I drove around for some time. I tried a WOT blast, but now my old 11.5 boost table now runs close to 13.5 (briefly) in some areas.
I can save myself a ton of time if I can create the Air-Fuel Commanded channel and use your video so I can create a new A/F Error histogram to correct my (boost range) VE Table. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

I continued to search the threads and found my answer. Under the Downloading e38 2bar thread, Bill@HPTuners answered my question. When I upgraded my HPTuners software to the 4.6.3 version, all I could get were my generic ECM parameters. I knew I was running the HPT SD operating system with a 2 bar GM sensor, but I could only see the generic 1 bar MAP. Bill's instructions to connect the Scanner to my vehicle and then "repoll for supported parameters" brought all the additional parameters from my upgraded ECM into my Scanner where I could then create all the proper table channels I needed. I was able to create the AFR Commanded and AFR Error histograms I needed to properly tune my VE table for my new engine.
If you continue searching the HPT threads, you will eventually find the answers you are looking for. Thank you HPTuner!

Sorry I am just seeing this post. It's been a while since I have checked back in here. That would of also of been my suggestion, as anytime you are not seeing all possible parameters, a repoll generally solves this. My apologies on not responding sooner. I've been working on some other things, currently a scaling tutorial.

New video, beginning (finally) the 3 part series on scaling a tune. I started with the concept in order to broaden the application. Though this is a P01 (0411) walk through series, the concepts apply to any other Gen III PCM, and new if needed.

I have the basis of the engine video laid out already so it shouldn't take long for me to get that one together and posted for those that have been waiting for this.

Part 2 will be the Engine tables, and Part 3 will be the transmission, if this applies to you.

    Hope you guys like it.

I take no credit or self promote in any way as I believe these are a culmination or knowledge I have learned from the entire community. People like Marcin (redhardsupra), Bluecat, Ed M (RIP), ddnspider, Darth V8r, JakeFusion, DSteck, eficalibrator (Greg Banish) and many more have taught me more than I could ever thank them for. Sorry if I left some of you out. PM's are free...

If there is a mistake in any of the guides posted, please, feel free to post here and correct me. I am always learning and accepting of new ideas. Tuning is not a stone cold set of rules, but rather an art. Please feel free to share your experiences and correct anything I might have wrong here, and share if something works better for you.

This thread will be updated with new videos regularly as I post them to YouTube. Subscribe there or here. I would like to share as much as I can with the community, save some engines, and make some folks happy in their ventures.

Seriously though, it takes days sometimes to put together a QUALITY 30 minute video. If you want to learn this stuff, it took us years to learn, a like and a click isn't much to ask.
