Gear selection during VE Table logging

I've seen it said that when trying to fill as many cells as possible in the VE table it is ok to use a lower trans gear to get to the higher cells (higher rpm).

It would seem to me that this would have an effect on the load on the engine in the higher RPM cells.

Does this really matter or not,

    Thanks Neal

Yes you can do a lower gear like 3rd gear if 4 speed to populate on higher load areas to dial in ve table correctly. I shoot for -1% to -3% error so it can still be good when you get a hot day.
