    S/c Tundra

    I have a 2017 supercharged tundra as we were tuning we accidentally bricked the ecu so i bought a new one and when i installed it the it shows that we should modify the VIN is it possible with hptuners mpvi2 to add a VIN ?

    It?s not possible to change/update the VIN with the MPVI2/VCM Editor.

    The Toyota dealer can, or you can update it yourself with a TIS subscription (https://techinfo.toyota.com) and a Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 or Mongoose cable.

    If you go down the self update path let me know and I can further direct you. I just went through this process myself. I?d be happy to loan (with a security deposit) my cable to help save you the cost of that for a one time use.

    Thank you justdsm i found a garage who can fix it and its done, know the other problem is when editing tables with mpvi2 there is no diffrence

    Changing VIN can be done easily by a good version of Techstream.
