    Idle tuning MAF not steady

I am tuning an LS7 maf on a 6.0L with an ls3 top end. The car is a 98 firebird with a 411 ecu swap.

My issue is tuning below 2875 Hz. Has anyone tuned the ls7 maf in an fbody? My other thought is that the my wideband AFM 1600L is a bit downstream from the header. Could I be picking up the lag readings so by the time I log it, its already in another cell? Wondering if adding a filter to my charts for a delay would help.

Seems like I adjust and its not any better when logging again. Could be the clocking of the maf?

Post the file and a log. Hard to guess what exactly you have going on.

If the MAF signal isn't steady, that would be an issue with the intake tubing setup. The MAF should be in a place that doesn't receive turbulent airflow or reversion.

It's an fbody so the intake is short, SLP lid into the spectre 4" Maf housing. I installed a 3/4" honey comb mesh from saxonpc. Thats why I am wonder if people have clocked them a certain way on fbody's.

I'll get a log and post it.

update, I made an excel spread sheet that coincides with the MAF Hz. After logging I wrote my wideband readings in a steady state compared to the average percent of difference. It got more in line when I matched the correction to the actual Hz reading on the line.
