    '18 3.5L Ecoboost with Turbo Upgrade, what am I missing?

    Hey guys,

    Thanks ahead of time for any help.

    Truck; '18 F150 3.5L Ecoboost, turbo upgrade, FMIC, etc...

    I'm at ~19psi boost on the top end, but can't seem to get past it. Fuel is E30 mix. What limit am up against?

    Can't see the tune from the PC I am using, but here are some from the Log file you've posted.

    You are hitting Cylinder Pressure limit for the timing ECM 50229)
    Also you are hitting the Injector Limit, might need to increase fuel rail pressure and Max Injection angel ECM 7719

    Thanks for the quick reply. I have max inj angle set to 270 degrees. I?ll try adding rail pressure.

    How about blending more PI fueling? Can we log the low pressure injector DC?

    I have raised mine to 330 degrees, in my 2017 Raptor for reference

    Never touched the PI fueling, can not comment on that
    injector DC would be one PID that is not in relation to the low nor the high pressure ( I could be wrong though)

    So I set it to 330 and same result. I must still be missing something. Any ideas?

    Ok

    ECM 7310 to 2.0
    ECM 7306 to 2.0 the whole column
    ECM 44616 try and add 5 degrees to the 1.6 load point and beyond ( Trying to eliminate the Cylinder Pressure spark limit) You need to watch out for knock though!

    Keep in mind, we are trying to address the limiters first, not the boost.

    I see 7310 is referred to as a "safety factor", but 7306 does refer to "DI Injector duty cycle". Though, both have a 2.00 value limit. I wonder how these are actually working. I will try changing those and report back, thanks.

    For spark, I was intentionally leaving it low until I get up to the torque request I'm looking for. However, does the comb. stab. spark limit also limit load? Or is it only affecting spark? Ign advance starts with your borderline, then works towards cylinder pressure limit based on learned knock right? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    44616: Is a cap and is not learned. It is always there.

    Thanks. Understood. But as far as the ign adv strategy, does it adjust from borderline, and up to max of cyl pressure based on learned knock adjustment over time?

    It goes from borderline (plus or minus adders) > MBT

    Whats learned is comes from Knock adaptive leaning tables (if you are using them)

    But if you reach 44616: it stops there...

    Is it supposed to be torque max source = "full load limit (normal)" when there's no limits hit?

    Is it normal for "engine brake torque" to be about 15-30lbft less than "ETC torque request" / "desired brake torque" throughout the pull?

    That is a questions for a ford calibration engineer or someone like steven@hptuners

    I would be looking into why "actual's" are greater then your "desired's" around 5400rpm

    Also your turbos are spinning at a speed that will shorten their lifespan.
