    Factory OS Change

    If I currently have a P01 running OS 9373372 (1999 5.3 truck)

is there a way to get the 12212156 OS (2001 5.3 truck)

I got really familiar with my 12212156 and then my newest build is a couple years older and the tables are confusing me. (Secondaries and what not)

Is this something that can be done? and can it be done with HPTuners? I have both tunes licensed.

If the 1999 tune file has an OS upgrade option for a 1 bar speed density enhanced, it will remove the secondary VE table and make it almost just like the other newer OS minus some very minimal things.

The MAF functions like stock even on an upgraded OS.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Yes this can be done. To save you licensing a new file for your 1999 truck just open your 2001 5.3 truck 12212156 file up and do a Write Entire. Be sure to disable the VATS and you may need to disable the Alternator F terminal output on the 2001 file as well. One of those years they switched from lamp wire only to lamp and field duty control.
