Setting it so TCC lockup does not happen?
Has anyone just programmed, or turned off the TCC lockup feature on their 4L60E trans? Have a TCI 3600 and I am getting too much chatter and some hesitation. Since I don't really ever drive the car unless it goes to the track (when lockup is not utilized anyway) I was just going to have it set so the TC never even tries to lockup. Anyone done this?

Just raise the TCC lock up speed to 45mph min, then 2 mph higher than the 3-4 shift.

You could also change the values to 256 in the appropriate feilds so that it never comes on.

For chatter try setting the TCC PWM minimum to 98%
and also check out the Trans General Pressure section
for the TCC-applied line-bump value; this can give you
a positive lockup and hold. Chatter is just too soft an
apply, letting the clutch bounce.
I have mine set up with 3rd gear all 255MPH (never
happen) and 4th gear following the shifpoints and offset
a little above. At the track I leave it in D so no lockup,
on the highway it's OD and available.

If you have a good tripple disc converter you should lock it at @10mph less than what you normally go through the traps at,..at the track you will pick up a few .10 of a sec and probably 3mph. I have my patern so as to have the lock up values 1mph greater in third gear than the up shift to 4th except at 75% an higher i have the lockup come on at 110mph. It feels like you have a 4th gear (while leaving in 3rd) when it locks
