    Pcm swap

Hello. I'm trying to figure out if I can convert a 2004 drive by wire truck to drive by cable and use a 0411 pcm and just swap my Vin number in. Is this even possible. If so can u give me an explanation on how to do it

No, it won't work like that.

It's two different generations of computers and electronics. There is way too much different about a 2003+ truck to swap a 99-02 computer in. You're best bet is to look into adding the wires if your computer has the IAC drivers on the circuit board.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

I put a 6.0 in an 04 Sierra half ton and was unable to find a tune with the 4l80e and a matching os number to segment swap my pcm so would my best option be to use the pcm out of a 2004 sierra 2500 and put my Vin number in it

Don't change the VIN number unless you absolutely have to, it can cause licensing issues and you may not be able to modify the tune again.

If your PCM is one of the Green and blue PCM's that have the IAC drivers then you should be able to just alter the program to allow for DBC, if you don't have the drivers then you will have to get a PCM that does have the drivers and then you can write your current tune (with VIN) into the new PCM and then make the needed changes.

You cannot use the older 0411 (blue and red) PCM with the existing tune and wiring.
