    New MPVI2 Firmware - EEC-V Issues Resolved

Today's beta build of VCM Suite (4.5.412) includes new firmware for the MPVI2. There are a number of fixes in this firmware, but the biggest one for us Ford guys is for the EEC-V. All of the issues with scanning seem to be resolved with this new firmware. We had a handful of people testing this firmware over the last few weeks, and it has resolved all of their issues.

Thank you for the update as I still use my old one on my car and had read reports that once the newest software was on a laptop you couldn't run a older verison and it would force a update once the mpvi1 was plugged in.

Will it auto update the MPVI2 or is there a process you have to go through to do it?

Previously, when you attempt to flash/read with the newer versions, it will upgrade automatically.

Update to latest Beta, re-sync, then hit read vehicle (does not have to be connected to a vehicle), hit Gather Info, then it will update the Firmware automatically.

I did this and now my device is dead! I updated because I was suddenly having issues connecting to my car (that error is also attached) and I thought updating would solve it. The firmware update happened and now I cannot connect to my device at all. I have a ticket in, #191949. Please help!
