Hmm. I'm going to have to find the last actual file from the PCM. The one I have I was experimenting with and I may have messed it up when doing segment swapping.
Although, that is kind of interesting if the segment swap would make the OS the proper one.
Wish I knew more about how this works.

    So I found this thread.

The guy swapped an 04 LS into his 04 blazer, did a segment swap with the express van, adjusted a parameter for crank resolution, and it worked.

This matches a number of threads I've found where guys say its basically 'plug and play'.

I'm going to do a pin for pin comparison with the files you attached (Thank you!) and make a 'build order' for myself.

Ok. The wiring is really, really similar. Should be a piece of cake.

I've made a 'build order' with the wiring changes.
    2001 S10 4.3L to 2002 5.3L Silverado wiring changes.

Now I just need to get the pinouts for the coils at the coil side (I'm fairly certain already, but double checking never hurts) and I should be good to go.

    Found coil pinouts here.

I'm ready to start hacking the harness.

I should point out for anyone reading this down the road, that the low reference pin to the PCM on these coils is per bank.
The low reference on the 1,3,5,7 coils goes to pin C1-60. The remaining low references on the 'even bank' go to pin C1-61 on the PCM.
