I've had luck with changing the VCT distance table to retard the exhaust valve a little at around idle for helping with the jerkiness at takeoff. It might use a little more fuel idling, but seems to help with the takeoff.

Try changing the cells at 900 RPMs and .25 and .35 loads from zero to 2 or 3.
A log would help out to narrow down the problem.
