    ethanol content - max % vs whp

    Been trying to get a read on how far (in terms of ethanol content) people have been able to run and at what whp?

    Ideally want enough fuel system to just grab the E85 pump at the station and not have to cut it with gasoline, bc only have enough fuel pump for E30... I've read in the 600whp range, only fairly low ethanol content fuel can be used bc fuel system is maxed.

    Does anyone have any number on say the following setups (all assuming stock cam fuel lobe). ie how much whp will 85% ethanol support with the following pump setups? Also, if anyone knows at what % ethanol they are hitting MBT, that would be useful as well!

    1. Stock LPFP and HPFP
    2. upgraded LPFP and stock LT1 HPFP
    3. upgraded LPFP and LT4 HPFP

    Vehicle of interest in L83 2018 silverado.

    I put in the ethanol sensor, but if have to blend the fuel at pump, might as well just run a standard 93 octane tune and not mess with potential of running lean. Shooting for 500/500 with whipple 2.9L on my 5.3L.

    You should be able to get there on 93. With the stock LT1hpfp you won't get away with much more then e30 I'm thinking

    I am maxed out on E85 in a stock 2016 L83 installed in another vehicle. Only mods are intake, exhaust (no cats) and ZL1 LPFP. Fuel pressure is raised to 19.5Mpa to keep pulse width down to about 5.5ms at WOT 6000rpm.
    Interested in info myself as well. I guess both injectors and upgraded HPFP would be needed to run SC with E85.

    You need LT1 injectors. No need for the HPFP with your setup.

    Interested as well. I'm working on a Whipple L83 Sierra with LT4 pump, LT4 injectors, and a Bosch 044 as an aux lift pump. Stock fuel lobe. Hopefully get it fired up tomorrow.

    I'm not doing a supercharger or anything but I reached the same ceiling you did already too.

    I haven't touched anything with commanded fuel pressure but on E69-E70 fuel I hit 5.5-5.8ms with ease today. My truck too only has intake and exhaust. I think I'm running around .86 to .88 lambda on 24-26 degrees of timing and I'm only revving it out to 5,700-5,800rpm.

    I bet I'd be fine at .90 lambda too but meh.
